Nevus of Ota is a rare pigmentation on the skin commonly observed in individuals with darker skin type. With increasing age it may get darker and more visible. Therefore most people are self-conscious with such birthmarks encompassing almost half of the face.
This patient was initially treated with 2 ruby lasers but there was no improvement. After the 6th and last PicoPlus laser the Nevus of Ota birthmark is close to 100% eradicated.

Its not for the texture of the tongue, but for the color. Some people have tattoos on their tongue for cosmetic or tribal reasons.
